Or why we're still building houses to medieval layouts using techniques invented by the Romans.

Our first finished project!
We're thrilled - and a little exhausted - because, after five years of hard work, The Triangle in Swindon, is more or less finished and the residents have moved in. The 42-home development is one of a clutch of projects we've been working on as Hab Oakus, our partnership with the housing group GreenSquare. Filmed by Channel 4, a two-part TV programme tracks the project's ups and downs and is shown on Thursday 8 December at 8pm, concluding on Thursday 15 December at 8pm.
