We cut our teeth on projects such as the Triangle in Swindon, which we completed in 2011, and Applewood in Stroud, where we built carefully-crafted, contemporary homes set amidst plentiful landscaped space.
As the business grew we set out to develop a more collaborative relationship with investors and customers. We financed this expansion and brought 650 new investors into the business through a world record crowd fund in 2013.
HAB is recognised as a leader in sustainable development, favouring a fabric-first approach to environmental construction with a focus on biodiversity, edible landscapes and sustainable drainage. We adopt an intelligent balanced, holistic approach in line with One Planet Living principles and we're committed to ensuring that our homes are economic and efficient to run.
We use materials and products which have low environmental impact and they also need to be affordable, durable, readily available and easy to maintain. On all HAB schemes we view water management through porous paving, swales and the like as fundamental, not only in practical and environmental terms but also in terms of aesthetics and amenity space. Oh, and our streets are all fruity.
We know that choosing to move home is a huge decision so we'd like to reassure you that we are on hand to provide support throughout your entire journey of buying a new home.
At HAB we follow the The Consumer Code for Home Builders. It is an industry led code of conduct for builders and was introduced to give protection and rights to new home buyers, by ensuring that as a home buyer, you're treated fairly at all times, given reliable information about your purchase and know what service levels to expect. You can read more about the code here.
