We take a collaborative approach to housing development, targeting customers early in the design process and working with them to deliver homes that suit their budget, lifestyle, and tastes. Whilst the broad principles of the designs are established through the planning process, the detail – particularly with regard to internal layout, specification, and customer upgrades – are developed in conversation with purchasers. HAB’s customer-led approach has proved attractive to purchasers with both live schemes fully reserved and off plan.
Our designs are landscape-led, sympathetic to existing surroundings, and focus on sustainable and recycled materials to minimise our carbon footprint.
Community is at the heart of all HAB Housing developments. We incorporate features that can be used and enjoyed by everyone in the area, such as cycle and running tracks, dog walking routes, allotments, wildflower meadows, and children’s play areas. We include benches, green spaces, and car and bike shares to encourage neighbours to engage with one another, and always collaborate with existing communities during the planning stages of new developments.
We take steps to encourage wildlife to thrive at all of our developments. As well as minimising disruption to natural habitats during the construction process, we incorporate a number of features in our developments to increase biodiversity and encourage wildlife back to our sites. This includes bee and bird bricks, bat block, wildflower meadows, and wildlife corridors. We encourage our residents to use allotments and plant their gardens with flowers to attract butterflies, bees, and birds.
Buying a new home is a huge decision, which is why HAB Housing is on hand to provide support throughout your process.
We follow the The Consumer Code for Home Builder - an industry-led code of conduct for builders introduced to give protection and rights to new home buyers, by ensuring that you're treated fairly at all times, given reliable information about your purchase and know what service levels to expect. You can read more about the code here.
