Lowdown: Set on the former Dunmail Primary School site, in partnership with United Communities this new development will offer sustainable homes built with the environment in mind. The scheme will have green infrastructure, including sustainable food production, low carbon energy sources and new cycle routes.

In partnership with United Communities, we plan to build a mixed tenure development of 150 properties, with one third affordable housing. The affordable homes will be built to the equivalent of Passivhaus energy efficiency standards and all homes will meet level four of the Code for Sustainable Homes. In line with HAB's general approach, it's not just the homes that are to be sustainable. The whole development will be built with the environment in mind.
As standard all houses will be beautifully-designed and benefit from HAB's trademarks - such as higher-than-normal ground floor ceilings and large amounts of glazing to enhance both the feeling of spaciousness and abundance of light. All the homes will be built to very high levels of environmental efficiency, delivering real savings in energy use and the consequent lower running costs.
The development site lies on the northern edge of the Southmead area of Bristol. Locally, the site is well connected to the local centre at Arnside Road, in under 5 minutes walk, which features shops, schools and transport connections. There is a regular bus service to the centre of Bristol and the proposed Henbury loop train link will further improves the sites connectivity into Bristol and beyond.
