Earlier this summer, we were delighted to be invited to Bristol’s Festival of Nature VIP party at We The Curious. The event was held in conjunction with Bristol’s monthly Green Mingle event to launch the festival’s 15th year at Bristol Harbourside.
Sponsored by Ecotricity, the event brought together some of the brightest minds from Bristol’s green sector to discuss the ways we can use modern advancements in technology for good. Ecotricity used the platform to announce Ecotalk, their new mobile network run on renewable energy, which will use its profits to give land back to nature.
HAB Chairman, Kevin McCloud, is an honorary Vice President of the Wildlife Trust, and sustainability a key focus in our design process, so respect for our environment is a core value at HAB Housing. It was wonderful to see such a large gathering of like-minded individuals and organisations sharing ideas on how we can combat the negative effects of modern life on our environment.
Bristol’s community of low carbon and sustainability supporters is a hive of activity that we are proud to be involved in. As a triple bottom line company, we are always inspired to hear the new and innovative ways people are finding to benefit the environment. If you want to know more about HAB’s efforts as a sustainable developer, you can read our blog on the topic here.
