HAB Housing to speak at ‘Better Design for Better Places’ at Government conference

Posted 12/02/19

HAB Housing Chief Operating Officer, Dave Gray, will be speaking at the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG)’s Better Design for Better Places Conference in Birmingham on 14th February 2019.

The conference aims to raise the bar in the design of better homes and neighbourhoods. Dave will be speaking alongside Ruth Reed, Director of Green Planning Studio, and Richard Simmons, Chair of the Campaign to Protect Rural England’s Policy Committee, in a session on the development of rural areas and greenfield.

MHCLG hopes to encourage a ‘community vision’ that will capture the change residents want to see in their communities, which will in turn help developers to design neighbourhoods that meet people’s needs and aspirations.

HAB Housing is pleased to be a part of Better Design for Better Places as we seek to improve the standard of living in the UK through people-led designs. We are currently working with NHS Healthy New Towns programme and Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust’s Building with Nature initiative to promote wellbeing at the forefront of our developments, and we hope to connect with more like minded people at MHCLG’s conference next week
